Travel Industry Charity Events (TICE) |

The Travel Industry Charity Events (TICE) initiative was founded in January 2005, when two prominent Western Cape leaders in travel Mildred Phillips & Carol Bayne debated how they could respond as they watched the true scale of the terrible Boxing Day Tsunami unfold. It was decided that something had to be done that would mobilize the tourism industry to help raise funds towards the disaster relief efforts in North Africa. As a result the very first TICE event was held, appealing to all sectors of the Western Cape travel industry to come together for a common goal. In its short history, what started as a once off call to action, has become an annual campaign that has supported a number of worthy causes. TICE has donated just over R1m to a variety of beneficiaries over the last few years!
The Waterfront Boat Company is proud to be associated with this event , and every year has donated a Private Charter as a prize to be raffled . This year we had a Private Charter in the "silent "Auction .
